Our hospital can accommodate emergencies during regular business hours or triage and refer to a 24-hour ER specialty hospital as needed. How to Recognize an Emergency

It is not always easy to tell if your pet is in urgent need of care. If your pet is having any of the problems listed below, then it’s time to take action.

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Choking/gagging

  • Cuts, lacerations, bite wounds
  • Eye injuries
  • Blunt force trauma
  • Unable to walk or stand
  • Disoriented
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
  • Inappetence
  • Bleeding from nose
  • Blood in stool/vomit
  • Lethargy
  • Shaking uncontrollably
  • Constipation
  • Unable to urinate
  • Pale gums
  • Allergic reaction (swelling of the face, bumps on the skin)
  • Ate something poisonous or toxic
  • Difficulty delivering puppies/kittens
