Hello, my name is Na Wu. I'm a veterinarian here at Monon Animal Hospital!

What was your childhood dream job?

To be honest, when I was a little kid, my dream job was to become a scientist. Because all my family is in the university, my dad is a biologist who works on bats. He is my role model, so I want to be like him. Become a scientist who will be working in the biology area.

How did you decide to become a veterinarian?

When I got older, I was able to have some opportunity to come to the U.S. several times for exchange students. I learned about the job of becoming a veterinarian, which I think for me would be better. I can help animals become healthier and solve problems for clients.

What is your favorite part of veterinary medicine?

Right now, my favorite part of veterinary medicine would be doing soft tissue surgery and also ultrasound.

Are there any specific passions or projects you are currently working on?

Also, my passion right now is to try to integrate traditional Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine as well. For both parts of medicine, I am currently working on getting my certificate in acupuncture in the Chinese medicine aspect.
